Alumni from across the country returned to GW on June 7 and 8 to celebrate GW Law Reunion Weekend. The weekend kicked off with the Stockton Guard Lunch and tour of GW Law's campus.
"I was overjoyed to celebrate GW Law Reunion Weekend with our amazing alumni spanning more than half a century. My heartiest congratulations go to Alberto Estrella—the winner of the 2024 Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award. I also congratulate the many deserving winners of this year's alumni awards and class cups.
Finally, I am grateful to the committee members who planned a magnificent weekend of events and to the many reunion celebrants who returned to campus from near and far to reconnect and reminisce. Congratulations to you all!"

Saturday afternoon included a Reunion Roundtable with Dean Dayna Bowen Matthew. The day concluded with the All-Class Dinner, Reception, and Reunion Awards, where the following recipients of the awards were announced:
- J. William Fulbright Distinguished Service Award: The Honorable Denise Sweet-Owens '79
- GW Law Recent Alumni Award: Tara Ward '09
- Stockton Guard Alumni Award: The Honorable John Michael Seabright '84
- GW Law Distinguished Alumni Award: Alberto Estrella '94
- Jacob Burns Award for Extraordinary Service to GW Law: Steve Schooner '89
The following Cups and Bowl were announced:
- Dean's Cup: Class of 1979
- Lawrence Cup: Class of 1984
- Barron Cup: Benjamin Cardoza Inn of Court
- Friedenthal Bowl: Class of 1989
- Stockton Bowl: Class of 1984

"My family and I had a wonderful time at my 60th reunion. GW has always done such a great job with the reunion events and I was excited to have my family join me as well. The events were well-planned and I had a chance to bring my wife, daughter, son-in-law, and grandson to the baseball ball game, which was great, since my daughter is also an alum, class of 2005. The staff were all very gracious and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."
