Dana J. Chase is the Army Chief Trial Attorney at the US Army Legal Services Agency, Fort Belvoir, VA. She directs a team of Trial Attorneys in defending the Army in appeals before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals and the US Court of Federal Claims and provides oversight of all bid protests before the Government Accountability Office, US Court of Federal Claims and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Ms. Chase has successfully defended the Army in numerous protests and appeals and has also represented the Army in resolving matters through corrective action, settlement, and ADR. 

Ms. Chase was on active duty in the Army retiring at 20 years of service. During her time on active duty, she held several positions involving contract formation and administration. She was also the Chair of the Contract and Fiscal Law Department at the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School. 

Ms. Chase earned her LLM from the Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School, with a specialty in contract and fiscal. She earned her JD from Ohio Northern University School of Law and received her BS, cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. She holds bar membership in the state of Wisconsin and is admitted to the US Court of Federal Claims.
