Please join the ICL and National Security, Cybersecurity, and Foreign Relations Law Programs as they host Visiting Scholar Aïcha Ghmouch, who will be presenting some of her research on Monday, November 14th. Ms. Ghmouch is a doctoral student and Professor Assistant at the University of Paris-Saclay in France. Her dissertation topic and main area of research are the French Presidency and Environmental Protection. She is interested in how the rising concern for environmental issues and the increasing emergency of the ecological crisis reshaped the role of the Presidency in the French constitutional regime. This year, as a Fulbright Grantee, she will explore the comparative aspects of her research while investigating the U.S. presidential influence on environmental policies, especially during the 1970s. She is also involved in the Environmental Law Institute, a non-profit organization, as a Visiting Attorney. She will be giving a presentation entitled: "The rising Presidential Influence on Environmental Policies: historical and comparative aspects from U.S. and French experiences." This is an in-person presentation co-sponsored by the International and Comparative Law Program and the National Security, Cybersecurity, and US Foreign Relations Law Program.
